Iowa football announces Kid Captains for 2026 season

As part of their annual partnership with the University of Iowa Health Stead Family Children’s Hospital, Iowa football revealed its list of Kid Captains for the 2026-27 season on Monday, Aug. 3.

The special partnership between the Iowa football program and the Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which started in 2009, honors pediatric patients by celebrating and highlighting their incredible stories throughout the season as they receive care for their various medical conditions.
According to Monday's announcement, this year's Kid Captains roster includes 12 total names assigned to the following games:
- Harlow Taube - Iowa vs. Northern Illinois, Sept. 5
- Charlie Price - Iowa vs. Iowa State, Sept. 12
- Beau Harvey - Iowa vs. UNI, Sept. 19
- Lily Lee - Iowa at Michigan, Sept. 26
- Eliana Gaul - Iowa vs. Ohio State, Oct. 3
- JJ Ward - Iowa vs. Washington, Oct. 9
- Kaelyn O'Brien - Iowa at Minnesota, Oct. 24
- Charley Rasmussen - Iowa vs. Wisconsin, Oct. 31
- Ellie Walker - Iowa at Northwestern, Nov. 7
- Beau Byers - Iowa vs. Purdue, Nov. 14
- Henry Jaeger - Iowa at Illinois, Nov. 21
- Isaac Raue - Iowa vs. Nebraska, Nov. 27
As Iowa football's Kids Day at Kinnick is set for Saturday, Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. CT, the Hawkeyes can barely contain their excitement to meet the 2026 Kid Captains.
