According to Turkish media outletSpor Depor, Trabzonspor now want to reunite Salah with former Anfield teammate Nunez.
The Uruguayan is keen to leave Saudi side Al-Hilal after an unhappy period with the club, and has been in discussions over a contract termination.
Nunez signed for Al-Hilal from Liverpool for around £46m last summer and scored nine times in 24 appearances last season. However, the 27-year-old was cut from the Saudi Pro League squad in January due to foreign player rules, following the arrival of Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad.
Trabzonspor now want to offer Nunez, who has also been linked with MLS side Atlanta United, an escape route. The forward enjoyed a fine understanding with Salah during their time at Liverpool, with the duo helping the Reds to thePremier League title in 2024/25.
Nunez scored 40 goals in 143 games across his three seasons with Liverpool, before leaving for Saudi Arabia last summer.
Trabzonspor want to add him to their ranks as the Turkish side look to compete for the Süper Lig last season. Fatih Tekke's side finished third last season to secure Europa League football, behind Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
