Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame announces 4-member Class of 2026

Four Kentucky natives have been selected and announced as members for the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame (KSHOF) Class of 2026.

The members in this year's class are:
Tyson Gay, track
The sprinter still holds the American record in the 100-meter dash with a personal best of 9.69 seconds, tied for the third-fastest time in history. He competed in both the 100 and 200 meters and shares the 9.69 mark with Jamaica's Yohan Blake.
The Lexington native is a three-time gold medal winner.
Lisa Mattingly, basketball
Mattingly was a long-time referee in women's basketball, working NCAA Division I and WNBA games for 38 years. She officiated 18 NCAA Women's Final Fours, 11 national championship games and multiple WNBA Finals, earning the 2002 Naismith Women's Official of the Year award before being inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023.
After retiring from the officiating, the Lebanon native became a coordinator of officials, overseeing the training and development of referees across several Division I conferences.
Rajon Rondo, basketball
Rondo played two seasons at the University of Kentucky before being selected 21st overall in the 2006 NBA Draft. He went on to play a 16-season NBA career, helping the Boston Celtics win the 2008 NBA championship and the Los Angeles Lakers capture the 2020 title.
A four-time NBA All-Star and four-time All-Defensive Team selection, the Louisville native led the league in assists three times and steals once.
Brandon Webb, baseball
Webb pitched at the University of Kentucky before beginning his professional career with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He spent his entire Major League Baseball career with the Diamondbacks, winning the 2006 National League Cy Young Award and earning three consecutive All-Star selections from 2006-08.
The Ashland native finished his career with a 87-62 record, a 3.27 ERA and 1,065 strikeouts.
A selection committee made up of 15 sports media professionals selected the four members of this year's class.
"The Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026 reflects excellence across multiple generations of Kentucky sports," Louisville Sports Commission President and CEO Greg Fante said in a news release. "Each inductee reached the highest levels of competition in their sport while representing the Commonwealth with distinction. We are proud to honor their accomplishments and celebrate their lasting impact during this year's enshrinement ceremony at historic Freedom Hall."
