According to MassLive’s Mark Daniels,Patriots coach Mike Vrabel stated prior to the team’s training camp practice on Friday that he expects Campbell to be ready to practice again at the start of next week.
Campbell is believed to have an arm injury after being seen wearing a brace on his left arm. He was also limited at the team's practice on Thursday.
Rookie Caleb Lomu, the No. 28 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, started at left tackle in the Patriots’ white vs. blue scrimmage on Friday. The team had 2025 seventh-round draft pick Marcus Bryant as the top left tackle on Thursday.
According to Vrabel, via Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan, Campbell should be "ready to go after the weekend." That could put him in line to return for the Patriots' scheduled scrimmage with the Indianapolis Colts next Tuesday. He has had a strong training camp thus far this summer. Campbell allowed five sacks and 26 total pressures last season.
