The viral video footage from the Folly Beach police station shows Komoroski handcuffed and sitting in a chair shortly after the crash. Instead of appearing to acknowledge the consequences of the incident, she can be heard repeatedly asking officers to let her go home and contact her father. "I just wanna like, get this over with and go home," she said while crying.
When an officer told her that she could not make a phone call at that point, Komoroski questioned why she was being detained and appeared to deny responsibility for the crash. "Well, what did I do?" she asked, before insisting that authorities had not proved that she had done anything wrong.

At one point, she appeared to mock her own behaviour, saying, "Ooh, I'm being just a little baby." Komoroski had also reportedly told officers at the scene that she had 'didn't do anything wrong' as she was taken into custody.
The fatal crash occurred as Samantha and Aric were leaving their beachside wedding reception in a golf cart. Aric later suffered serious injuries, while the newlywed couple's wedding night ended in tragedy. Komoroski eventually pleaded guilty to felony DUI, two counts of DUI causing great bodily injury or death and reckless homicide. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the crash.
