After Tuesday's practice, the Commanders revealed another signing: linebacker Curtis Jacobs.
Jacobs, a 6-foot-1, 243-pound linebacker from Penn State, went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent, but was waived during final cuts. The New England Patriots claimed Jacobs off waivers, which is where he spent his rookie season, appearing in nine games and recording four tackles.
After being released last March, the Tennessee Titans signed Jacobs, but he was again waived during final cuts. He signed with the New York Giants practice squad, was waived, and then re-signed with the Titans practice squad. He appeared in three games for Tennessee last fall.
Jacobs is familiar with the area, having graduated from the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland.
Jacobs joins a crowded linebackers room, featuring Sonny Styles, Frankie Luvu, Leo Chenal and Jordan Magee.
