A 63-year-old woman who was reported missing on Saturday has been found, Toronto Police said Wednesday afternoon.

Police said Ann Marie, who was last seen in Scarborough in the Eglinton Ave. E. and Victoria Park Ave. area, was located by officers at 10:53 a.m. and is safe.
She was taken to a local hospital by paramedics for assessment, police said, adding that investigators “are extremely grateful for all the information and tips provided by the public which assisted in this investigation.”
On Tuesday, Toronto Police upgraded the search for the woman to a Level 1.
$1.5 million worth of marijuana seized in Brampton: OPP
Two people have been charged and more than $1.5 million worth of illegal cannabis was seized in a grow-op bust in Brampton, Ontario Provincial Police said Wednesday.
The OPP said Toronto Police found a “large-scale illegal cannabis production operation” last Tuesday while executing a warrant in a separate investigation at a commercial property on Rutherford Rd. S. in Brampton.
The OPP-led Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team was contacted by Peel Regional Police for further investigation with Health Canada confirming to police that there were no registrations or licences associated with the property, the OPP said.
Its officers, along with Peel Regional Police, executed a search warrant at the commercial property last Wednesday, where the OPP said it seized 4,000 cannabis plants in various stages of growth, more than 23 kg of processed weed and $600 in cash.
The OPP said investigators also “identified several significant safety hazards commonly associated with illegal cannabis production operations, including risks related to electrical infrastructure and building safety.”
Police said the Office of the Fire Marshal and several partner agencies were called to the scene to assess potential safety issues and determined there was no ongoing threat to public safety on the property.
Ha Van Thang, 43, and Van Trieu Ngo, 38, both of no fixed address, have each been charged with possession for the purpose of distributing and unauthorized cultivation under the Cannabis Act.

Trio sought in Halton murder
Halton Regional Police asked for the public’s help in identifying three men linked to a murder that happened over a year ago at an Oakville business.
Police said on March 22, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., officers were called to Montagio Custom Tailoring at 145 Lakeshore Road E., Suite 301, after a man was found dead inside the business.
The deceased was identified as Baljeet “Bally” Toki, 43, of Oakville, whose death was classified as a homicide.
Police have released security video showing three men who entered the commercial building through an alleyway door and were seen arriving and leaving the property in a black Kia Forte.
The first suspect is described as a 6-foot white male with short hair and a slim build. He was wearing a grey sports/suit jacket, darker-coloured pants, white high-top shoes.
Police have released a photo of the suspect noting that he was wearing a “distinctive” baseball cap that has a “camouflage pattern on the back with a solid dark-coloured front containing a circular logo.”
He was seen carrying a gift bag with yellow tissue paper.
The second suspect is described as a Black male with a slim build and shorter in height compared to the first suspect. He was wearing a blue hoody, dark-coloured pants and white shoes.
The third suspect is also described as a Black male with a slim build and similar in height to the second suspect. He was wearing dark-coloured clothing, black shoes with distinctive red laces and was carrying a cross-body bag with a red stripe in the middle of the strap.

Toronto man accused of drug trafficking
A 36-year-old Toronto man has been accused of drug trafficking after police responded to “ongoing” complaints about drug use in Scarborough’s east end.
Toronto Police said officers were in the Morningside Ave.-Lawrence Ave. E. area on Monday at about 3:35 p.m. in response to those complaints from people in the community when they saw a man allegedly engaged in drug trafficking.
The man was arrested and police said that officers seized fentanyl, crack-cocaine, crystal meth and cash.
Anwar Yosofi was charged with possession of proceeds of crime not exceeding $5,000 and three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
