Detroit Tigers announced a last minute decision regarding Gleyber Torres before their final game against Paul Skenes and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Prior to Game 3 of their series against the Pirates, the Tigers announced a change involving Torres.

According to Underdog MLB, Torres has been moved to second in the batting order from leadoff.

In addition to Torres moving down, Colt Keithmoved to leadoff. Not only that, Javier Baez was taken out of the lineup.

Skenes has a 9-11 record this year. Additionally, he has recorded 166 strikeouts and a 3.88 ERA.

Torres has been one of the more successful batters in the Tigers lineup against Skenes. In six at-bats, he has two RBIs and a .167 batting average.

On the year, the 29-year-old has eight home runs, 33 RBIs, and 70 hits. In 69 games, Torres holds a .270 batting average.
