"We inherited a free India. Let us leave behind a stronger one — stronger in energy security, innovation, self-reliance and character," he said.

Mr Kumar highlighted IndianOil's role in sustaining the nation's energy lifelines through conflict, pandemic and geopolitical disruption, reaffirming the philosophy of "Pehle Indian, Phir Oil." He described IOCians as "Energy Soldiers" who have optimised operations and reconfigured logistics to keep essential fuel supplies uninterrupted.

Looking ahead, he outlined priorities including safety, operational reliability, innovation, digital transformation and collaboration — alongside strategic projects, indigenous technologies, specialty products, petrochemicals, and the application of AI and machine learning to shape a sustainable, self-reliant energy future.

Addressing the youngest members of the gathering, Mr Kumar called children "the future of Bharat," urging them to dream fearlessly, stay curious and help shape a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

The celebrations also featured long service and meritorious children awards, along with cultural performances by IndianOil's children, Ladies Club members and the choir group.
