The flight, which departed from Trichy at around 6.40 pm, remained in the air for nearly two and a half hours after the technical issue was detected. Airport officials remained in continuous communication with the pilots as the aircraft circled in the air and reduced its fuel before returning to the airport.

The aircraft eventually landed at Trichy International Airport at around 9 pm, according to Airport Director Gopalakrishnan.

"After circling in the air for two and a half hours, the flight landed at Trichy airport at around 9 pm due to the technical snag," Gopalakrishnan told ANI.

He said the aircraft was brought back to the airport after necessary preparations were made for a safe landing. Airport authorities had been coordinating with the flight crew throughout the incident.

The Airport Director also stated that an alternative flight had been arranged for the passengers, and that all 127 passengers would be accommodated on the alternate aircraft and flown to Singapore.

The flight landed at Trichy after reducing its fuel, with officials maintaining communication with the pilots to facilitate a safe landing.
