Just after the Houston Texans got on the board with their starting offense, the defense wanted to get in on the action.

Texans rookie linebacker Wade Woodaz recorded his first pick-six on Las Vegas Raiders quarterback and No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza, giving Houston the 14-0 lead.

Las Vegas was having a productive drive prior to the pick with four plays for 50 yards, including a 37-yard run from rookie Mike Washington. They were deep in Houston territory when Mendoza threw the pick. 

Woodaz returned it 80 yards for the score.

The Texans defense followed that with a three-and-out to give the Houston offense the ball back with over six minutes left in the first quarter.
