Bob Chesney's first season as head coach at UCLA will be aided by some familiar faces, and an old friend has just joined the Bruins roster.

Linebacker Trent Hendrick has transferred to UCLA after a fifth year of eligibility was granted to him. Hendrick spent the first four seasons of his college career at James Madison, and the last two seasons there with Chesney. He is the 11th player to rejoin Chesney after playing for him at James Madison.
While Dae'Quan Wright's return trip from the NFL to college football is getting the most attention, Hendrick is pulling off a similar move. The former James Madison LB participated in minicamp for the Cleveland Browns this summer.
Hendrick registered a combined 106 tackles last year, and posted three sacks in each of his last two seasons at James Madison.
He was originally recruited to James Madison by Curt Cignetti, who won the national title last year at Indiana.
