Years after retirement, Roger Federer remains a huge favourite for tennis fans. The legendary superstar’s practice ahead of his exhibition return at the US Open went viral.

This has led to the incredible hype around his return to the court for an exhibition game ahead of the US Open. Federer is slated to play in a one-set singles match against Andy Roddick.
The 45-year-old will also team up with John McEnroe to play against Roddick and Andre Agassi in a doubles event. Ahead of these exciting matchups, Federer has been practicing at Flushing Meadows.

The former five-time US Open winner may not be returning to the court competitively, but watching him play is something no tennis fan could ever get bored of.
So even his practice ahead of Tuesday’s ‘An Icon Returns to New York’ event went viral on social media, with lots of heartfelt love being expressed by fans of the game.
“I miss him so much, no one does it like Federer, and I don’t think they can either,” one fan wrote. “Roger, you are such a beautiful tennis player to watch. I always wished I could play like that,” another said.
“Retirement or not, his level would still be above many players we watch these days,” a different comment read. “I feel peace and tranquility watching him hit the ball,” a fourth fan claimed.
“It’s so beautiful. So clean. So majestic. Almost religious. His backhand is still just as silky,” one fan observed. “Watching this man play tennis at any level will forever be the thing I look forward to the most,” a sixth fan said.
Just his practice video alone drew this type of hype, the actual matches themselves will likely have even more fans tuning in. Federer remains a cut above the rest, a true savant of the game.
