Colin Cowherd Issues Four-Word Message After USC’s Opening Day Win Over San Jose State
· Yahoo Sports
It was a joyous day for USC fans as their team pulled off an impressive 42-26 victory over San Jose State on opening day of the new college football season. Prominent football analyst Colin Cowherd joined the celebrations, acknowledging the USC performance.
Cowherd took to X to say that this USC team might be back to its best as Lincoln Riley takes charge of his fifth season at the Trojans, especially after they blew the opposition away in the opening fixture of the new campaign.

“USC is soooo back,” Cowherd wrote on X, after the impressive performance in Los Angeles.
The game might have been impressive from USC on the field, but in the stands it was a different story as fans failed to turn up in the LA heat, with several empty seats visible as heat and humidity took their toll in California.
The temperature at kickoff was a hot 94 degrees Fahrenheit, with real feel temperature rising to as high as 104 degrees, making it a potential ordeal for those who ended up making the trip. But the heat on the field was a different matter as USC dominated and comfortably won their season opener.
Fans Are Not as Excited as Colin Cowherd
Colin Cowherd was visibly excited as USC won the game, but not everyone shared the same feelings, letting their opinions be known online.
The victory sets the right tone for USC as they head into their next game against Fresno State full of confidence on Sept. 4.
