Earlier last week, fellow wide receiver Calvin Austin suffered a torn ACL in practice. It was an unfortunate outcome for the 27-year-old, who was fighting for a roster spot.
Despite competing for one of the final spots in the wide receiver room, it's clear Beckham and Austin developed a strong relationship. The former showed his capacity to be a great teammate by showing up during Austin's rehab.

After a strong showing during the preseason, there's a strong chance Beckham Jr. makes the roster. As of this writing, that decision hasn't been officially made yet. With that said, it wouldn't be a surprise if Beckham Jr. started the season on the roster.
As for Austin, he will be focusing on rehabbing his knee following reconstructive surgery. Regardless, he'll have plenty of support from his teammates, including Beckham.
