Rockstar Games Reveals Its Official GTA Online Roleplaying Server, nopixel V

Rockstar Games has revealed its official GTA Online roleplaying server, nopixel V, ahead of GTA 6's launch.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of the most popular games of all time, and part of that is thanks to major community support. In the late 2010s and early 2020s, modders went particularly crazy with the foundation Rockstar created and utilized it for roleplaying servers, such as the extremely popular nopixel. Rockstar has embraced this side of the community, acquiring the team behind the FiveM modding platform and collaborating with nopixel itself.

Now, nopixel is gearing up to release the next iteration of its roleplaying server, which will be officially supported by Rockstar Games. The two teamed up to produce a much richer and deeper roleplaying experience that will feature a reworked character customization system, enhanced graphics, and a wealth of quality of life changes. Perhaps the most notable thing for longtime GTA fans is that the Mile High Club, a building that has been under construction since the game's very first reveal trailer in 2011, has been finished exclusively for nopixel. The building is now a hotel and casino for roleplayers.
The server will be available directly through Rockstar's official launcher, meaning you won't have to tinker with any third-party tools or platforms, and players will be able to see it in action on September 8 when a bunch of the top RP streamers will be let loose on the streets of Los Santos. Of course, many fans are likely going to wonder what this means for GTA 6. Rockstar Games has yet to make any kind of comments or announcement on the next iteration of GTA Online, but it would be shocking if there wasn't an online mode for GTA 6 later down the line. The single-player of GTA 6 is already a very roleplay-intensive experience, so it seems like Rockstar may be designing the game with a roleplay future in mind.
Whether nopixel will have its own GTA 6 RP server remains to be seen, but it would be surprising if Rockstar abandoned this side of the game when entering the next era. If this is just the beginning of a long term collaboration, GTA 6's online could be extremely special.
