Earlier this summer, Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham spoke out against transgender women competing in women’s sports, sparking widespread debate and a media firestorm over the past several weeks. While Cunningham has answered questions from the media on multiple occasions and repeatedly doubled down on her stance, her podcast has gone suspiciously silent.

Ever since Cunningham’s initial comments on trans sports went public, her podcast has not published any new episodes, which is especially interesting considering that her co-host publicly spoke out against her take on transgender athletes.
‘Show Me Something’ Podcast
The Show Me Something podcast launched back in July of 2025 and has been produced and distributed by The Volume.
The podcast provided a space for Cunningham to give her candid thoughts on the WNBA and the Indiana Fever, especially as the team and the league exploded in popularity thanks in large part to Caitlin Clark.
Throughout the existence of the podcast, Cunningham has used the platform to defend Clark, and she has not been shy about using it to dispute controversial foul calls and league decisions, even if it opens her up to a fine.
Given that this has been a space where Cunningham has been quite candid, it would seem like the perfect space for her to open up about her opinions on trans athletes and the firestorm her words created. However, that hasn’t been the case.
Podcast Goes Silent
As Brandon Kleen of Awful Announcing points out, the podcast has gone completely silent since Cunningham’s initial comments were made public. This comes after her co-host, West Wilson, posted a TikTok that directly contradicted Cunningham’s perspective.
Wilson, a reality star who grew up with Cunningham in Missouri, argued that transgender women’s participation in women’s sports is “a borderline nonexistent issue” that right-wing commentators amplify.
“Okay, transgender athletes in American sports is such a borderline nonexistent issue that right-wingers have convinced a massive portion of people in our country that it, that these people are like a threat to sports in America when mathematically that’s not the case at all,” Wilson said in the video.
“And by continuing to platform this, [freaking] politicians, athletes, journalists, news outlets, you’re only isolating transgender people even more by making them seem like this giant group of people is a threat to society, a threat to sports, when that’s just not proportionately the truth in any capacity.”
The rant would have seemingly set up quite a conversation on the next podcast with Cunningham, but there hasn’t been a next podcast.
It’s not clear whether or not Wilson’s video is the reason why the show has gone over a month without any new episodes, but the timeline is certainly suspicious.
