The likes of A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum have backed out of Team USA for the upcoming FIBA World Cup.
This means the responsibility to lead Team USA to a gold medal run falls on the shoulders of WNBA stars like Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers.

Team USA will kick off their tournament with a high-octane game against Team China. Before the game, many are worried about the chemistry between Clark and Bueckers.
Well, the Indiana Fever star’s recent response about Bueckers should be enough to put those doubts to bed.
“Yeah, I mean, obviously it’s really fun to play with Paige. I’ve grown up playing against her and with her since a very young age, so very fun experience to be here.
“Obviously, I think she’s one of the best off-ball players in the league. She cuts really well. She has a great feel for the game,” Clark said.
She added, “I think our chemistry has been really good and, you know, obviously just gaining more and more momentum through that as we go through the tournament.”
Clark and Bueckers are on different teams in the WNBA, but it isn’t stopping them from building chemistry ahead of a pivotal FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup for Team USA.
