Brock Purdy Fantasy Prediction 2026: QB13 Price, Top-5 Weekly Average

Brock Purdy Fantasy Prediction 2026:

Entering his age-26 season, the former Mr. Irrelevant brings highly appealing traits to the quarterback position for our purposes. He provides sneaky rushing upside, having logged 10 rush TDs over the past three seasons, and his passing efficiency in this Kyle Shanahan offense is nothing short of special, boasting a career average of 8.6 YPA.

Should You Draft Brock Purdy in Fantasy Football?

At this point, we know Purdy is good. We know he’s a starting-caliber QB in the NFL, but as a fantasy asset, he’s a little more polarizing.

As of early September, Purdy has an ADP of 107.6. On PFN’s rankings, he’s 109th. He has a projected 16.1 points per game this coming season, and he ranks as QB13 in leagues across the board. His best career fantasy finish was sixth place in 2023, but in 9 healthy games in 2025, Purdy notched the highest weekly fantasy average of his career with 20.8 points per game, which ranked fifth among qualifying QBs last year.

Purdy has quelled any questions about his viability as a starter and has proven that the San Francisco offense can run through him. He’s sharp, cerebral, a field general with quick-firing distribution skills, understated athleticism and escapability, and a talent for getting the ball to his playmakers and maximizing placement and yards after the catch, as evidenced by his second-ranked completion percentage over expectation of 7.2% in 2025.

He’s a high-volume scorer in Kyle Shanahan’s offense, and in three of four NFL seasons, he’s eclipsed a 7% TD rate on passing attempts. Losing Ricky Pearsall definitely hurts. Mike Evans has already been pestered by injuries through camp, and at his age, it’s not out of the realm of possibility to say that it’s going to continue. But second-round rookie De’Zhaun Stribling has shown promise. Deebo Samuel is back after a respectable season in DC. George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey are central passing weapons as well, returning and still in their prime.

Moreover, the 49ers offense has generally proven it can stay humming even with attrition at playmaker positions, and Purdy is the point guard at the center of that. Four of five offensive linemen return on a blocking front that ranked sixth overall in PFN’s offensive line scoring in 2025. Purdy appears to be fully healed from the turf toe injury that held him out for 8 games last season.

The 49ers’ more uncertain weapons outlook does lower his ceiling relative to other QBs, but Purdy himself, in my opinion, has quietly been a reliable fantasy asset who paced as a top-5 to 10 QB in his action in 2025. To get him around QB13 and outside the top 100, in my opinion, is a stellar value, particularly in superflex leagues where you need two QBs. But if you’re looking for a high-value, low-cost starter in your redraft leagues, I think Purdy, even with the attrition regarding the San Francisco offense, is still positioned to be the point guard, and he’s going to continue to produce in that role.

Brock Purdy’s Week 1 Fantasy Outlook

Analysis provided by PFN Analyst Kyle Soppe.

The idea of Purdy is great, and it’ll get my attention in a variety of ways with time, but I’m not the least bit interested in Week 1.

I’m looking for reasons to bench my QB when playing the Rams, so that’s a tough starting point. When you layer in the injuries all over the place and the depth at the position league-wide, why punish yourself with sweating this?

The sneaky athleticism and passing efficiency are two things I trust. This is a QB that will matter plenty this season (odds are good I have him ranked as a top-10 option in each of the next two weeks with home dates coming against the Dolphins and Cardinals), but I caution against assuming that your QB1 leaving the draft is your QB1 in Week 1.

I’d rather roll the dice on Malik Willis or Bryce Young this week. Remember … this game we play is a weekly one. There will be plenty of opportunities to roll out the leader of this beautiful Kyle Shanahan offense this season.
