Eagles blank Invaders 42-0 for second straight win

The Eagles moved to 2-1 after shutting out Parma Normandy 42-0 at SPIRE Academy.
"Guys got off to a great start [Friday night]," Geneva coach Don Shymske said. "We hit a little rough patch in the second quarter, but did a nice job coming out aggressively after halftime."
The Eagles defeated Lakeside 41-6 in it second game.
Against Normandy, Geneva rushed for 308 yards, led by Owen Davis with 147 and four touchdowns. Brody Hamm contributed 94 yards and one score.
The Eagles struck quickly with three first-quarter TD runs. Davis went 43 and 56 yards, while Hamm scored on a 37-yard scamper.
Davis added rushing scores of 8 and 18 yards in the second and third quarters, respectively. Zachary McKinney closed out the scoring with a 22-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.
Geneva's defense held Normandy to 10 yards rushing.
The Eagles are scheduled to play Edgewood at Corlew Stadium next Friday.
Rhodes 21, Lakeside 6
SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — The visitors from Cleveland earned its first win of the season.
The Dragons scored in the second half.
Lakeside dropped 1-2, and plays at Willoughby South next Friday.
Lakeview 21, Jefferson 10
JEFFERSON — The Falcons dropped to 0-3.
Jefferson received a field goal from Bayleigh Kereky and 32-yard touchdown pass from Mason Kalil to Paxton Fritzsche.
The Falcons are scheduled to Perry next Friday.
Fairport at GV
The Mustangs earned a 1-0 forfeit win after the Skippers cancelled due to low numbers.
GV is scheduled to host University School at 7 p.m. Thursday.
