FERRUM, Va. (WJHL) — Emory & Henry football picked up its first win of the 2026 season Saturday, cruising past Ferrum 55-16 in the Crooked Road Classic.

The Wasps (1-1) jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter before taking a commanding 35-6 advantage into halftime. Emory & Henry continued to pull away after the break, scoring 20 more points to secure the victory.
Cole Lambert threw for 256 yards, while Dallas Chavis led the ground game with 128 rushing yards. Chavis scored on runs of 20 and 66 yards in the second half.
The victory moves Emory & Henry to 1-1 on the season as the team prepares for next Saturday's matchup against the Tusculum Pioneers.
