Wide receiver Garrett Wilson has been with the New York Jets since the team made him a first-round pick at the 2022 NFL Draft.

It has been long enough for Wilson. The time is now as it pertains to his goal for the team during the 2026 NFL season.

Wilson and the Jets are preparing for their first game of 2026 against the Tennessee Titans. It is the first of many steps that could help Wilson reach his goal.

"The playoffs, man. No doubt about it," Wilson said. "Nothing else."

Wilson's first two seasons with the Jets saw the team reach seven wins. It has been downhill from there over the past two years.

None of that matters to Wilson right now in 2026.

"It should happen," Wilson added.

Wilson has achieved plenty personally. He's had three-straight 1,000-yard seasons to start his career, signed a long-term contract extension and more. Many can understand why Wilson would this is what he wants next.

Not to mention, Wilson and the Jets just might get the most steady quarterback play he has ever seen in a Jets uniform in 2026.

The team traded for Geno Smith this offseason, and like Wilson, Smith is eager to change the fortunes for the Jets--the franchise that drafted him all the way back in 2013.

"It starts with wins and it ends with wins," Smith told reporters. "That's all that matters in this league. The win and loss column. Win as many games as we can."

The first chance for taste of victory kicks off on Sunday at Nissan Stadium at 1 p.m.
