Man wanted in Mississauga robberies; four charged in firearms probe

Investigators are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with multiple robberies at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police say on Sept. 3, shortly after 5 p.m., the victim was walking to their vehicle in the centre’s parking garage when the person was robbed of a recently bought electronic product, suffered significant injuries and was taken to hospital.
Investigators have identified two additional incidents that occurred between May 9 and June 27 during which the suspect approached victims at their vehicles in the parking garage and forcibly took electronic products they had recently bought. One of those victims suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately six-feet-tall, about 215 pounds, with a thin build, short black hair and dark brown eyes who is known to wear medical masks and gloves.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about these incidents, or who may have experienced a similar a similar encounter, is asked to call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 1133.
Four charged as two loaded guns seized in North York
Four people, including a 17-year-old boy, face multiple charges in a Toronto Police firearms investigation.
On Sunday, cops responded to a person with a gun call in the Dufferin St. and Steeles Ave. W. area.
It’s alleged that the accused, three of whom were wearing masks, were all seated in a vehicle in a parking lot when responding officers arrived.
Two of the accused were arrested inside the vehicle and the remaining two fled from police on foot but were caught by responding officers.
Two loaded prohibited firearms were allegedly seized from the accused.
Aisosa Osadebamwen, 20, of Toronto, is charged with 20-firearm related charges; Nana Asamoh, 18, of Toronto, is charged with nine firearm-related charges; Tafary Church, 24, of Toronto, is charged with eleven-firearm related charges; and a 17-year-old boy is charged with eight firearm-related charges.
Hamilton man’s death deemed suspicious
Hamilton Police are investigating a suspicious death after finding a man unresponsive on the sidewalk near Dundas St. E. and 1st St.on Monday, at about 6:22 p.m.
The man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and based on the circumstances known at the time, the death was not considered suspicious.
In the days that followed, investigators reviewed video footage, spoke with witnesses and received additional information, including findings from a post-mortem examination – and the death is now being investigated as suspicious.
The Hamilton Police Homicide Unit has assumed carriage of the investigation and the death has yet to be been classified as a homicide.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the area of Dundas St. E. between Spring Creek Dr. and 1st St. from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday and may have witnessed anything that could assist the investigation.
Police are also asking residents, businesses and motorists in the area to review security, doorbell and dash camera footage from that timeframe, particularly any footage that captured activity along Dundas St. E. or the surrounding area.

Two charged in Dundas shooting
Hamilton Police have charged two individuals and are seeking a third following a shooting investigation in Dundas.
On Friday, shortly before 7 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of John Prentice Park, near Renata Ct.
Officers located three males near a wooded area of the park. Two were arrested nearby while a third fled the area.
On Tuesday, investigators executed a search warrant at a Hamilton residence and seized several firearms, ammunition, armoured plating and tactical equipment.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Oakville man and a 25-year-old Thornbury man are both charged with careless use of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
A 25-year-old Dundas man is currently wanted for careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm.
Investigators continue to seek information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dash camera, residential security or cellphone video from the area at the time of the shooting.

Toronto man, 27, faces child porn charges
Toronto Police are making the public aware of an arrest made in a child exploitation investigation.
A probe began in Toronto this month after it was alleged that someone shared a quantity of child sexual abuse and exploitation material across multiple social media and messaging platforms
On Thursday, police executed a search warrant in the Kipling Ave. and Lake Shore Blvd. W. area and Navid Mohammed, 27, of Toronto, was arrested.
He’s charged with accessing, possessing and making available child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

CAMH patient on the run
Toronto Police are seeking the public’s assistance locating an elopee from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
Ahmed Ahmed was last seen on Thursday at approximately 7 p.m. in the Ossington Ave. and Queen St. W. area.
Ahmed is described as 6-foot-1, approximately 245 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap, black hooded jacket, black sweatpants, and black and white running shoes.
Ahmed is also missing several fingers.
He is currently bound by a Form 49 Warrant of Committal and was found not criminally responsible for an index offence of two counts of aggravated assault.
