Rob Parker Rips Myles Garrett After Rams Loss

The fans were disappointed with star pass rusher Myles Garrett, as his performance was really disappointing and he made virtually no impact in his Rams debut.

During a recent episode of “The Odd Couple,” Fox Sports Radio host Rob Parker criticized several members of the Rams before turning his attention to the former Cleveland Browns star and saying:

“Myles Garrett was so terrible. He was a zero. He had nothing. Go look in the box score. His name’s not even in there. You know why? He didn’t do anything. No pressures. No sacks. No tackles. Nothing—not even a half tackle. Nothing. I would have rather had Mrs. Garrett from ‘The Facts of Life’ than Myles Garrett on my football team last night. That’s how bad it was.”

The analyst also shared his point of view and highlighted how little production the Rams received from one of their biggest offseason additions. He said:

“It is embarrassing, man. They’re going to go undefeated and win another home Super Bowl. Yes. Homerville, everybody’s in. Paper champions. Please stop it already.”

The star pass rusher later acknowledged that his performance was not up to the mark, as a knee issue affected his ability to perform. He also mentioned that because of the injury, he had missed several training camp sessions and practices while trying to manage the issue, but the extent of the problem had not been completely clear before the season opener.

“This was the worst version of myself that I’ve put out there, and I’ve got to be better,” Garrett said after the loss. “I’ve got to find a way to recover and get back to the player I know I can be and I’ve shown that I’ve been before.”

Garrett was not alone in struggling, as the overall quarterback performance was not up to the mark either. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 15 of 25 passes for 155 yards, threw an interception and failed to record a touchdown.

The Rams will look for a stronger response when they host the New York Giants in Week 2. Garrett’s health will remain a concern because Los Angeles needs its star defender to create pressure and lead the unit. One poor game does not erase his elite career, but the criticism will continue if he remains ineffective. A productive performance against New York would help restore confidence and silence some doubts.
