On Saturday, Sept. 12, former professional soccer player Dani Watt − wife of Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt − shared life-changing news on Instagram.
There was no caption on Dani's post, but the photos, along with the song that backed them, spoke for themselves. The pictures appeared to be from a maternity shoot in the great outdoors. The song: "Gratitude" by Brandon Lake.
As high school athletes, T.J. and Dani became household names in Waukesha County. They began dating at the University of Wisconsin while being successful in their respective sports. Both became all-Americans.
T.J. – who was selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft – signed a three-year extension during the 2025 offseason worth $123 million. That momentarily made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Dani retired from pro soccer in 2023.
T.J. and Dani married in a picturesque wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in July 2022. In March 2025, they announced the birth of their first child together, daughter Blakely Marie.
The first photo from Dani's Sept. 12 post showed her holding her baby bump and beaming at T.J. and Blakely, who were facing her.
Dani was donning a boho chic fit that perfectly showcased the bump − a white knit poncho and flowy textured cream-colored skirt. Big sister Blakely was in an adorable light patterned dress with a matching tiny bow in her hair. T.J. was sporting a button-down, jeans and Nikes in colors that tied into his wife's and daughter's ensembles.
There were several photos of the growing family, an adorable picture of Dani holding Blakely right above the bump, a couple dreamy images of the couple and a stunning solo shot of Dani holding her belly.
