Ohio State hands Illinois its first Big Ten loss

Illinois fell to No. 7 Ohio State, 42-19, Saturday in Columbus. Katin Houser threw for 263 yards and a touchdown, while Aidan Laughery rushed for 113 yards. Jeremiah Smith was the difference for the Buckeyes, catching 12 passes for 217 yards and four touchdowns. 

🏈 What’s next?

Illinois returns to Champaign next Saturday for Homecoming against Purdue. Kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network. 

🏐 Volleyball keeps rolling

Illinois volleyball swept No. 23 USC, 3-0, Saturday night at Huff Hall. The Illini have now won six straight and are 10-3 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play after back-to-back ranked wins. 

⚽ Soccer hosts Oregon

Illinois soccer returns home today for a Big Ten matchup against Oregon. The Illini and Ducks kick off at 1 p.m. CT at Demirjian Park, with Illinois celebrating Senior Day.
