Week 4 waiver wire FAAB: Kenyon Sadiq, Marcus Mariota, Jaylen Wright top fantasy football targets
· Yahoo Sports
Fantasy football managers head into the Week 4 waiver wire with De’Von Achane, Breece Hall and Justin Jefferson all hurt, a backup quarterback beating the defending Super Bowl champions and a rookie tight end posting 105 yards in Detroit.
Visit extonnews.click for more information.
And yes, believe in Jaylen Wright over Ollie Gordon II! We’ll see how Miami’s depth chart shakes out entering Week 4 if Achane is forced to miss time.

Week 4 waiver wire strategy
Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane (28) | David Brytus-Imagn ImagesInjuries drove most of this week’s changes again. Achane (knee), Hall (thigh), Jefferson (ankle) and Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring) all got hurt Sunday, and each injury could push carries or targets to a player on your wire. Alec Pierce (heel) is expected to miss extended time in Indianapolis, and A.J. Brown (ankle) is on injured reserve in New England.
Every team plays in Week 4, but bye weeks start piling up in Week 5. So a backup who could start for a month is worth more now than a player who caught one long pass.
Watch the schedule, too. The Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, and the Indianapolis Colts face the Washington Commanders in London at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday. Those players lock early. The Atlanta Falcons visit the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, which gives you extra time on the Etienne news.
Free agent acquisition budget (FAAB) recommendations are based on a $100 budget. My bids are conservative, so bid higher if you want to be aggressive on a player.

Week 4 waiver wire quarterbacks
Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota (8) | Amber Searls-Imagn ImagesMarcus Mariota, Washington Commanders
- Opponent: vs. Indianapolis Colts (London), 9:30 a.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: vs. Seattle Seahawks, 19-of-31 for 183 yards, 3 TD
- Rostered: 3%
- FAAB: $7
Mariota threw three touchdown passes and no interceptions in the 33-31 win that ended Seattle’s 12-game winning streak. He found Rachaad White, Treylon Burks and Terry McLaurin for scores. He also picked up 9 yards on a third-and-7 scramble to help run out the clock. The Colts have allowed 22.5 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, the fifth-most in the league. The 2015 No. 2 overall pick is a two-quarterback starter and a one-week stream in one-quarterback leagues while Jayden Daniels recovers from his elbow injury.
Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
- Opponent: vs. Los Angeles Chargers, 4:25 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Washington Commanders, 31-of-45 for 379 yards, 4 TD, 2 INT
- Rostered: 37%
- FAAB: $10
Darnold returned from the glute injury he suffered in the opener and threw for 379 yards and four touchdowns. Two interceptions hurt, and Kain Medrano returned one 50 yards for a score with 3:57 left. Still, Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught 10 passes for 128 yards and two scores, and the passing game looked like it did before the injury. The Chargers have allowed 20.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. If a manager in your league dropped Seattle’s starter while he was hurt, he’s the top quarterback claim this week.
Geno Smith, New York Jets
- Opponent: at Chicago Bears, 1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Detroit Lions, 31-of-37 for 321 yards, 3 TD
- Rostered: 9%
- FAAB: $5
Smith completed 84% of his passes in the 31-24 loss. He threw fourth-quarter touchdowns to Jeremy Ruckert and Garrett Wilson to tie the game at 24. Chuck Clark’s strip-sack on the final drive ended the comeback. The Jets’ run game has been poor, and Hall has just 61 yards on 29 carries over the past two weeks. Now Hall is hurt, so the 35-year-old could throw even more against a Chicago defense that has allowed 21.1 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
Kirk Cousins, Las Vegas Raiders
- Opponent: vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 4:25 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at New Orleans Saints, 22-of-33 for 248 yards, 3 TD
- Rostered: 14%
- FAAB: $2
Cousins has nine touchdown passes in three games, which ties for the NFL lead. The 38-year-old led a comeback from an 11-point second-half deficit, and Brock Bowers returned with 10 catches for 116 yards and a score. The Raiders are 3-0 under coach Klint Kubiak. But Jack Bech broke his forearm and is headed to injured reserve. And the Chiefs have allowed just 12.3 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, the second-fewest in the league. Cousins is a two-quarterback add, but he’s a bench piece in one-quarterback leagues this week.
Week 4 waiver wire running backs
Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright (5) | David Brytus-Imagn ImagesJaylen Wright, Miami Dolphins
- Opponent: at Minnesota Vikings, 4:05 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: vs. Kansas City Chiefs, inactive (stinger/foot)
- Rostered: 1%
- FAAB: $10
Wright left the Week 2 loss in San Francisco with a stinger and later picked up a foot injury. He has three carries this season. But he’s Miami’s No. 2 back, and he’s filled in for Achane before. He ran 24 times for 107 yards and a touchdown at the Jets last December after Achane left with a rib injury. Watch his practice reports this week. If he’s healthy, add him before Gordon because he’s in line for the starting job.

Ollie Gordon II, Miami Dolphins
- Opponent: at Minnesota Vikings, 4:05 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 17 carries for 41 yards, 1 TD, 3 catches for 14 yards
- Rostered: 3%
- FAAB: $8
Achane hurt his knee on Miami’s opening drive of the 24-10 loss. Coach Jeff Hafley said, “To be very honest with you, it does not sound very optimistic at this moment.” Achane has an MRI on Monday. With Jaylen Wright inactive, Gordon took over and scored from 3 yards out. That’s a big jump for a back who had three touches in the first two games. Minnesota has allowed just 11.5 fantasy points per game to running backs, so the Oklahoma State product is a volume play, not a safe starter.
Braelon Allen, New York Jets
- Opponent: at Chicago Bears, 1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Detroit Lions, 4 carries for 14 yards
- Rostered: 19%
- FAAB: $10
Hall left in the fourth quarter with a thigh injury and said he “felt something” when running. He’ll likely have more imaging this week. Allen took over as the lead back after Hall left. The former Wisconsin back ran for 334 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie in 2024, but a knee injury cost him most of 2025. Chicago has allowed 22.7 fantasy points per game to running backs, the ninth-most in the league. If Hall sits, Allen is a flex play.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints
- Opponent: vs. Atlanta Falcons, 8:15 p.m. ET, Monday, Oct. 5
- Week 3: vs. Las Vegas Raiders, 9 carries for 36 yards, 1 catch for 5 yards
- Rostered: 43%
- FAAB: $8
Etienne aggravated his hamstring in the second half, and coach Kellen Moore said an update could come Monday. After Etienne left, Kamara split the work with Kendre Miller, with six touches to Miller’s five over the last five drives. The 31-year-old would likely start if Etienne sits. The matchup is tough, though. Atlanta has allowed 11.1 fantasy points per game to running backs, the third-fewest in the league. The Monday night kickoff lets you wait on the news.
Brian Robinson Jr., Atlanta Falcons
- Opponent: at New Orleans Saints, 8:15 p.m. ET, Monday, Oct. 5
- Week 3: at Green Bay Packers, 10 carries for 50 yards, 1 TD
- Rostered: 22%
- FAAB: $3
Robinson capped a 92-yard drive with a 7-yard touchdown run in Atlanta’s 35-14 win on Thursday night. He has double-digit carries and at least 50 rushing yards in back-to-back games. He also has 148 total yards and a touchdown through three games. Bijan Robinson got 29 carries, so the former Alabama back is still a handcuff first. But the Saints have allowed 25.5 fantasy points per game to running backs, the seventh-most in the league, and byes start next week.
Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints
- Opponent: vs. Atlanta Falcons, 8:15 p.m. ET, Monday, Oct. 5
- Week 3: vs. Las Vegas Raiders, 4 carries for 14 yards, 2 catches for 5 yards
- Rostered: 1%
- FAAB: $2
Miller missed practice Thursday with an illness and got a chance after Etienne went down. He dropped a pass that would’ve gained about 10 yards and fumbled a catch in the flat, though the ball went out of bounds. He ran nine times for 30 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 with Kamara out, then was a healthy scratch in Week 2. If Etienne misses time, Miller would share work with Kamara and rookie CJ Donaldson. He’s a deep-league add only.
Week 4 waiver wire wide receivers
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Keenan Allen (10) | USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect (Reuters)Keenan Allen, Indianapolis Colts
- Opponent: at Washington Commanders (London), 9:30 a.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: vs. Houston Texans, 6 catches on 9 targets for 63 yards, 1 TD
- Rostered: 21%
- FAAB: $10
With Pierce out, Allen caught his first touchdown as a Colt in the 19-17 win. He had one catch for 5 yards on five targets in Week 2, so the jump in volume came from Pierce’s absence. Pierce is expected to miss extended time, which keeps the 34-year-old in a starting role. Washington has allowed 38.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the most in the league. Allen is a flex play in London.
Mack Hollins, New England Patriots
- Opponent: at Buffalo Bills, 1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Jacksonville Jaguars, 6 catches on 9 targets for 87 yards
- Rostered: 3%
- FAAB: $5
Hollins led the Patriots in targets, catches and yards in the 35-6 loss. His nine targets were almost double the next-closest player, DeMario Douglas, with five. He also leads the team with 12 catches this season. Brown is on injured reserve with an ankle injury, so the former North Carolina receiver has a clear top role. Buffalo has allowed 32.1 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the fourth-most in the league, and New England could be chasing points again.
Tre’ Harris, Los Angeles Chargers
- Opponent: at Seattle Seahawks, 4:25 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Buffalo Bills, 6 catches on 7 targets for 76 yards
- Rostered: 4%
- FAAB: $3
Harris led the Chargers in catches, targets and yards in the 24-16 loss. He’s led the team in receiving yards two weeks in a row, including a 53-yard catch in Week 2. He ran a route on only 27 of 43 dropbacks, so his role can still grow on an 0-3 team. The matchup is hard. Seattle has allowed 18.7 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the third-fewest in the league. The second-year receiver from Ole Miss is a bench stash this week.
Malik Washington, Miami Dolphins
- Opponent: at Minnesota Vikings, 4:05 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 5 catches for 56 yards, 2 carries for 5 yards
- Rostered: 20%
- FAAB: $3
Washington led Miami with five catches and also took snaps at running back as the emergency backup after Achane got hurt. That role could grow if Wright can’t play. Caleb Douglas missed the game with an ankle injury, which opened more targets for the third-year receiver. Minnesota has allowed 29.1 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the 10th-most in the league. Washington fits deeper leagues that reward catches.
Jakobi Meyers, Jacksonville Jaguars
- Opponent: at Cincinnati Bengals, 1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: vs. New England Patriots, 7 catches on 8 targets for 64 yards, 1 TD
- Rostered: 44%
- FAAB: $8
Meyers led the Jaguars in targets and catches against his former team. He had three catches for 68 yards on three targets through the first two games, so this was a big jump. Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes in the 35-6 win, and one went to the former Patriot. The Bengals have allowed 25.6 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Brian Thomas Jr., Parker Washington and Travis Hunter still compete for targets, so Meyers is a flex option in deeper leagues.
Chris Bell, Miami Dolphins
- Opponent: at Minnesota Vikings, 4:05 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 4 catches on 7 targets for 67 yards
- Rostered: 4%
- FAAB: $7
Bell started with Douglas out and led Miami in receiving yards, including a 44-yard catch-and-run. He had one catch for 25 yards through the first two weeks. Miami took the former Louisville receiver in the third round at No. 94 after he tore his ACL in college. Malik Willis missed him on what could’ve been two long touchdowns. Bell is a bench stash with upside while Douglas is hurt.
Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings
- Opponent: vs. Miami Dolphins, 4:05 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 5 catches for 90 yards, 1 TD
- Rostered: 73%
- FAAB: $10
I wouldn’t normally include him, but Addison should be 100% rostered if Jefferson misses time. He’s a boom-or-bust player, but a larger target share should follow if he’s the No. 1 WR. Jefferson hurt his right ankle in the first quarter and didn’t return. Addison beat Jacob Parrish for a 41-yard touchdown from Kyler Murray on third-and-8, and he had a 30-yard catch two plays earlier. He had two catches for 21 yards through the first two games. The Dolphins have allowed 19.1 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the fifth-fewest in the league. Addison is the top receiver add this week if Jefferson sits, and he’s a flex play if Jefferson returns.

Week 4 waiver wire tight ends
New York Jets tight end Kenyon Sadiq (16) | USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect (Reuters)Kenyon Sadiq, New York Jets
- Opponent: at Chicago Bears, 1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Detroit Lions, 7 catches for 105 yards, 1 TD
- Rostered: 18%
- FAAB: $10
Sadiq posted his first 100-yard game and first career touchdown catch with several Jets pass-catchers out, including tight end Mason Taylor. Wilson (10 catches, 107 yards) was the only Jet with more yards. Smith leaned on the passing game after the run game stalled, and Hall’s injury could keep it that way. Chicago has allowed 8.3 fantasy points per game to tight ends. The rookie is the top tight end add this week, but Taylor’s return would cut into his targets.
Darren Waller, Carolina Panthers
- Opponent: vs. Detroit Lions, 8:20 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Cleveland Browns, 5 catches on 8 targets for 51 yards
- Rostered: 14%
- FAAB: $8
Waller had his best receiving day of the season in the 21-18 loss. Xavier Legette (knee) and Jalen Coker (quad) were both out, and Carolina’s tight ends combined for 11 catches and 128 yards. Waller scored twice in Week 2 and has 10 catches this season. The matchup stands out. Detroit has allowed 28.5 fantasy points per game to tight ends, the most in the league, and 32.0 per game to quarterbacks. The veteran is a strong Sunday night streaming option.
AJ Barner, Seattle Seahawks
- Opponent: vs. Los Angeles Chargers, 4:25 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Washington Commanders, 5 catches on 9 targets for 69 yards
- Rostered: 13%
- FAAB: $4
Barner had three catches for 21 yards in the first two weeks with Drew Lock at quarterback. With Darnold back, he drew nine targets, second only to Smith-Njigba’s 14. He turned one tight end screen into a 32-yard gain. The former Michigan tight end caught 52 passes for 519 yards and six touchdowns with Darnold last season. The Chargers have allowed 10.4 fantasy points per game to tight ends, so Barner is a streamer in a pass-heavy offense.
Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals
- Opponent: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, 1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 4
- Week 3: at Pittsburgh Steelers, 3 catches on 3 targets for 37 yards, 1 TD
- Rostered: 5%
- FAAB: $1
Gesicki caught a fourth-down touchdown from Joe Burrow early in the fourth quarter to give Cincinnati a 27-24 lead in the 30-27 loss. It was his second touchdown of the season. Three targets is still a small role behind Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. And Jacksonville has allowed 6.5 fantasy points per game to tight ends, the sixth-fewest in the league. The former Penn State tight end is a touchdown-dependent streamer only.
