Angel Reese is under fire once again after a controversial post-game gesture left fans questioning her sportsmanship.

Angel Reese put up 15 points and 7 rebounds in a solid performance, helping spark Atlanta’s offense whenever the Mystics tried making a run. Her energy was key in sealing a 93-75 blow-out win for the Dream, finishing off the two-game playoff sweep.

By taking care of business, Atlanta punched their ticket straight to the WNBA semifinals, where they’ll move on to face a stacked New York Liberty squad in the next round.

Angel Reese waves goodbye to the Washington Mystics

With final buzzer sounding, Angel Reese and Allisha Gray started waving goodbye to the Washington crowd. But veteran DeWanna Bonner wasn’t about to let it slide, as she stepped in right away and pulled their hands down, putting a quick end to the taunt.

However, fans already caught a glimpse of the gesture, and didn’t let it slide on social media.

This fan didn’t hold back: “Totally expected from Reese. Classless now and forever.”

“Doing this as the higher seed is such weird behaviour. You’re suppose to win.” Another pointed out the seeding.

Another suggested Reese has let him down: “I was starting to like Angel think she’d grown a bit during FIBA. I see that’s not the case. The rest of these “vets” show why no one was watching prior to a few years ago.”

“Angel Reese will never grow up.” This fan added.

One final supporter gave Reese a bit of leeway: “Angel is so petty. Given how she’s been treated over the years I get it. But good on DeWanna for checking that.”

Is it petty? A little bit. But honestly, that’s the exact kind of high-stakes drama and real personality that makes WNBA playoff basketball so fun to watch.
