This means roster construction is about to become even more important for fantasy owners as they try to stay wins, stay afloat or make runs in their leagues over the next few weeks.
If you recently lost a key player to injury or have someone on bye, these are a few players to consider picking up this week. Everyone on this list is available in at least 50% of fantasy leagues on ESPN.
QB Kirk Cousins (16.9%)
Cousins has been one of the biggest surprises of the season so far, as he's led the Raiders to a 3-1 record through four weeks, while completing 64.6% of his passes for 1,026 yards with 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. While many expected first-overall pick Fernando Mendoza to take over early, Las Vegas might be willing to ride with Cousins for much longer if he keeps up this performance.
RB Emanuel Wilson (49.9%)
With Zach Charbonnet and first-round pick Jadarian Price both on injured reserve, Wilson is Seattle's staring running back in Week 5. In the two games this year that he's had over 20 touches, he's averaged 16.6 fantasy points.
WR Roman Wilson (3.6%)
In just four games this season, Wilson has caught 14 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He's already set career highs in receptions and yards and has tied his career-high in touchdowns. As Aaron Rodgers looks to find reliable weapons in that offense, Wilson might become one of his go-to guys.
TE Mike Gesicki (10%)
The former Miami Dolphins tight end has scored touchdowns in three of the four games this year, becoming a somewhat reliable fantasy option at the position. Going against the Dolphins defense that has been burnt by tight ends this year should give him another opportunity to show out in Week 5.
D/ST Bengals (17.5%)
Double-dipping on Cinicnnati might be smart for fantasy owners looking for tight ends and defenses. Miami's offense has been a nightmare this year, and with Malik Willis throwing for less than 100 yards last week, the Bengals defense shouldn't be scared of what the Dolphins will do do them in Week 5.
