As we approach the mid-season point, we can tick another group of prospects off the list of those yet to be tested.  Georgia travels to Alabama in the big game of Week 6.  Who should you watch in this one, and the other big NFL Draft matchups of Week 6?

2027 NFL Draft Prospects to Watch in Week 6

Matchup of the Week – Georgia at Alabama (7:30 p.m. ET, ABC)

This game has not only been a high-stakes SEC rivalry, it’s also been a marquee game for an array of NFL Draft prospects over the years. You can be sure a large number of NFL scouts will be in attendance.

Visit freshyourfeel.org for more information.

The best pure matchup of NFL Draft prospects in this one is Alabama wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams against a Georgia secondary featuring cornerback Ellis Robinson IV and safety K.J. Bolden. Coleman-Williams dropped far too many passes in 2025 (even while wearing a knee brace last week against Mississippi State), but appears to have eradicated them from his game. Can he keep this up in a high-pressure game?

Alabama edge Yhonzae Pierre was quiet last week against Mississippi State. Given the Dylan Stewart situation is cloudy right now, there could be an opportunity to be the second Edge draft behind Colin Simmons (Texas).  This is the perfect platform to push those claims.

The off-ball linebacker class this year is strong.  The NFL doesn’t necessarily value the position on draft day, but there are impact prospects in this class.  Having said that, Georgia’s Chris Cole is doing everything he can to push for the first round.  Can that continue in this environment against a physical opponent?

2027 NFL Draft Prospects to Watch in Week 5 – Friday Night Lights (All Times Eastern)

Friday night is a busy one with five games.  The main focus with Florida State seems to be whether or not donors are willing to buy out Mike Norvell’s contract.  They do have an interesting receiving prospect in Duce Robinson, a big target playing the “X” position, as they visit Louisville (7:00 p.m., ESPN).

Louisville edge rusher Clev Lubin has enjoyed a number of good matchups so far this season, and gets another chance to impress.  More scouts are likely to attend a Friday night game, so it’s a good stage as he looks to cement a top 50 slot.

These Friday night matchups offer the chance to watch prospects who may not be top 100 prospects, but can still make an NFL roster.  Washington offensive tackle Drew Azzopardi is one such prospect, as they take on Iowa (9:00 p.m., Fox). It will be interesting to stack him against last week’s Friday night offensive tackle, Pitt’s Ryan Baer.

Iowa was humbled by Ohio State last week, so it’s a short turnaround while licking its wounds.  It will be interesting to see how their trio of potential top 100 picks respond (offensive tackle Trevor Lauck, guard Kade Pieper and safety Zach Lutmer).

One other game would have featured a rising prospect, but injury looks like it will get in the way in Iowa State’s visit to Brigham Young (10:15 p.m., ESPN).  Unfortunately, per the Salt Lake Tribune, Brigham Young running back LJ Martin is doubtful with a lower leg injury.

Other 2027 NFL Draft Prospects to Watch in Week 6 (All Times Eastern)

After the vicious hit he took against Southern California, hopefully Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore will start against UCLA (3:30 p.m., CBS).  Thankfully, the injury is just a concussion, and as Yahoo Sports is reporting, Moore is back in practice.

UCLA has started the season well and has two rising prospects who will be tested against a top team.  Running back Wayne Knight is tiny (5’7”, 193 lbs) but electric.  If his athletic ability stands out against a defense like Oregon’s, NFL teams may well look to ignore the lack of size.

Also for UCLA, linebacker Sammy Omosigho has been a tackling machine; he also has four forced fumbles.  The Oregon offensive line is a good one (led by center Iapani Laloulu), so the matchup is an interesting one.

The annual Red River Rivalry (3:30 p.m., ABC) is a chance to see a defensive tackle prospect who it was feared was done for the year.  Oklahoma’s David Stone dislocated a kneecap in practice, but played against Georgia just over a week later.  Watching him will involve seeing how healthy he looks first, before deciding whether or not to include the performance as part of his evaluation.

The big question for Texas quarterback Arch Manning is: can he string together four strong quarters?  Then he needs to string together games where he does this.  He’s a rhythm passer, but he must find a way to be more consistent.

While Arkansas might be struggling again in the SEC, they do still have NFL prospects; a rising prospect is Boise State transfer Chris Marshall.  The receiver has 35 catches already this year, and he will be tested against Tennessee (4:15 p.m., SEC Network).

2027 NFL Draft Prospects to Watch in Week 6 – Small Schools

The feature game with NFL Draft prospects on both teams is Montana at Northern Arizona (5:00 p.m., ESPN+).  Montana running back Eli Gillman is an explosive back who needs to continue to work on his pass protection.  Northern Arizona quarterback Ty Pennington will be tested against a long-time FCS powerhouse.

North Dakota offensive tackle Trace Thaden is a Shrine Bowl 1,000 Watch List prospect who was highly regarded coming into the season.  He faces a road test at Northern Iowa (5:00 p.m., ESPN+).

The Last Word

There’s no question that pre-season NFL Draft boards are already looking dated.  There will be more change in the coming weeks, with injuries playing a part in the ever-shifting NFL Draft picture.

The consensus preseason top-rated quarterback this year, Arch Manning, is under constant scrutiny.  He has yet to play like an elite prospect, with a lack of consistency becoming a major concern.  He must find it for Texas if he wishes to declare for the 2027 NFL Draft.

The Georgia/Alabama game will draw the most NFL scouts this week. Coleman-Williams has the potential to be the highest-drafted prospect on show, particularly if he continues to avoid the drops that plagued his 2025 season.

Two highly rated prospects are worth monitoring health-wise this week.  Moore and Stone suffered nasty-sounding injuries, but thankfully seem to be back on track.

Keep an eye out for rising UCLA running back Wayne Knight.  The James Madison transfer is electric and a highlight waiting to happen.
