J.K. Dobbins trolls his old team after Broncos beat Chargers

· Yahoo Sports

Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins has no love lost between the him and the Los Angeles Chargers. Dobbins, who played for the Chargers in 2024, led the Broncos with 20 total touches for 74 yards and a rushing touchdown in the 23-17 win on Sunday.

It was Dobbins' first win over Los Angeles during his time in in Denver; Dobbins played against the Chargers in the Broncos' Week 2 loss of the 2025 season, but missed the second game against their divisional rivals (a 19-3 victory) at the end of the year due to a Lisfranc injury he suffered in Week 10.

Dobbins sent a simple message for the Chargers after the game on X:

After Dobbins made a pinky promise of health at the beginning of the 2026 season, so far he has held up his end of the bargain. Although he isn't leading the league in rushing like he vowed he would, the Broncos are being very careful with Dobbins, as they are already down to Tyler Badie, RJ Harvey and Dobbins after rookie running back Jonah Coleman suffered a sprained ankle in the Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Denver hopes that Dobbins can maintain his health throughout the long season, and hopefully be able to share in the success on the field, instead of on the sideline.
