Patrick Bailey has come through for the Cleveland Guardians once again in the 2026 MLB Playoffs. This time around, he hit a solo home run in Game 1 of Cleveland’s American League Championship Series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.

With the Guardians trailing, 2-1, and nobody out, in the seventh inning, Bailey smacked a mammoth 436-foot solo blast off Rays starter Drew Rasmussen to tie the score, 2-2.

Of course, fans lost their mind seeing that big home run from Bailey.

“Patrick Bailey ABSOLUTE F–KING NUKE,” a fan said.

“patrick bailey ties it 2-2 in the alcs 💀 the giants traded him to cleveland in may as a struggling catcher now he’s going deep at the trop in october lol,” a social media user on X shared.

“if you let Patrick f–king Bailey go yard you f–king suck lmao im sorry but theres no way you give up a homer to him,” another one commented.

“436 feet on a cutter, bailey just does not miss mistakes,” a different fan said.

“He finally decided to be a good player once he escaped the Oracle Park penitentiary,” another comment read.

The 27-year-old Bailey has been a difference-maker for the Guardians in the playoffs. In Cleveland’s come-from-behind series win over the Chicago White Sox in the divisional round, the two-time Gold Glove winner went 5-for-15 with three runs scored, a home run and two RBIs.

Acquired by the Guardians from a trade with the San Francisco Giants in May, Bailey could add to his postseason heroics, as Cleveland looks to outduel the top-seeded Rays in the playoffs.
