What grade did CBS Sports give the Vikings in Week 5?

· Yahoo Sports

The Minnesota Vikings played their most complete game of the season on Sunday. In Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints, the Vikings had a 364-142 edge in yards, possessed the ball for 39:37, and even overcame two red-zone fumbles by forcing three turnovers of their own.

It was Minnesota's highest yardage output of the season, as the offense entered the game ranked 31st in yards. Even though the Saints are only 1-4, the Vikings needed a dominant win against an inferior opponent.

John Breech of CBS Sports was impressed by the win, giving Minnesota an "A-" grade for the performance.

"The big surprise this week is that the Vikings' offense finally came to play," Breech wrote. "Aaron Jones did lose a fumble, but he made up for that with 125 rushing yards and a TD. This was a well-rounded win by a team that hasn't exactly looked very well-rounded this season."

Minnesota now sits at 5-0 and has a bye this week, allowing players like Jordan Mason, Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, and Christian Darrisaw to recover. Sunday was an encouraging sign, especially since the Vikings were missing many of their top offensive players.
