Jed York, Steve Tisch at NFL Owners’ Meeting After Scandals

NEW YORK — 49ers owner Jed York was in attendance as the NFL’s team owners began a two-day meeting Tuesday.
York walked through the lobby of the Manhattan hotel where the meeting is being held and moved up a flight of stairs to the area in which league leaders and other owners were gathering. The meeting began Tuesday afternoon and runs through midday Wednesday.

He did not stop to speak to reporters on his way in.
York’s six-game suspension by the NFL under the personal conduct policy is over. The 49ers played their sixth game of the season Monday night with their win over the Commanders in Santa Clara, Calif. They are the NFL’s lone 6-0 team.
The NFL announced earlier this month that York had been suspended for six games and fined $500,000. He was eligible to return Oct. 20, the league said then. The NFL cited York for violating the conduct policy after he was arrested in August in Ohio in a prostitution-related case and pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors.
The league said when it imposed the suspension that York had “stayed away” from the 49ers’ first three games this season “as well as from NFL league meetings” during the NFL’s investigation. Those three games counted toward his suspension, the league said then.
“Today, the NFL concluded its review, and I accept its decision in full,” York said at the time in a written statement released by the 49ers. “To my family, to the players, coaches, and employees of the San Francisco 49ers, to our fans and partners, I am deeply sorry. This was an inexcusable mistake and I take full responsibility. What I did does not reflect my values or the man I strive to be for my family.”
York did not attend the Aug. 26 league meeting in Atlanta, Front Office Sportsreported at the time.
Giants executive Steve Tisch also was on hand Tuesday for the owners’ meeting.
Tisch no longer has any ownership stake in the Giants. He is listed as the team’s executive vice president and chairman of the board.
Giants owner John Mara also attended the meeting.
The NFL informed teams in March that Tisch and his siblings, Jonathan Tisch and Laurie Tisch, were transferring their remaining ownership shares into trusts for their children.
Steve Tisch’s niece, Carolyn Tisch Blodgett, said last month at the FOS Asset Class event that those transfers were “done.” She is Laurie Tisch’s daughter and is a strategic advisor to the Tisch ownership group of the Giants.
In February, documents released by the Department of Justice showed Steve Tisch was in regular contact with Jeffrey Epstein, the sex offender who died in 2019. Epstein connected Tisch with numerous women, email exchanges in the released documents showed.
