Avalanche Recall Taylor Makar Ahead of Tampa Bay Matchup
· Yahoo Sports
The Colorado Avalanche will dress 12 forwards for the first time in a while on Friday when they face the Tampa Bay Lightning.
To fill out the final spot, the team called up Taylor Makar from the AHL’s Colorado Eagles. Makar will make his season debut, replacing the recently reassigned Gavin Brindley after a four-game stint with the big club.

“He had a good camp too, right?” Head coach Jared Bednar said. “So two of the guys we called up, both of them had really good camps, and both of them were knocking on the door with their team last year and this year.”
Makar has had a solid start to his AHL season, scoring three goals and recording four points in six games. It’s a far greater pace than the 24 points he put up last season in 52 games. Makar will play on the fourth line with Parker Kelly and Logan O’Connor, who is set to make his season debut.
