Treasurer Padam Khadka put the projected gross revenue for the month-long tournament at NPR 1.5 billion.
The board is anticipating NPR 200 million from sponsorships and more than NPR 700 million from ticketing and broadcasting combined.
"As a result, the prize money has also been increased," Khadka said, linking the two directly.
The ICC formally sanctioned the NPL on October 16, which lifted restrictions on participation and allowed franchises to recruit a considerably stronger overseas contingent than in either of the first two seasons.
