UCLA might be facing a former Bruin at quarterback this weekend
· Yahoo Sports
The UCLA Bruins will get a break from the Big Ten Conference action this weekend but it won’t be a break entirely for the Bruins, with 7-0 UCLA set to face the 3-4 Nevada Wolf Pack on Halloween. Nevada is coming off of a win over San Jose State last week.
Nevada handled business at home, getting a 28-13 win over the Spartans. It hasn’t been all rosy for Nevada this season. Head coach Jeff Choate is in his third season with the team but is still looking for his first winning season.

After Choate went 3-10 and 3-9 in his first two seasons, he has already matched the three wins this season, having defeated in Western Kentucky, UTEP and then San Jose State. Nevada’s offense is led by their rushing attack, with the Wolf Pack having netted more yards on the ground (1,271) than passing yards (1,241).
Nevada has a pair of California running backs leading the way, with sophomore Dominic Kelley and junior Hershchel Turner Jr. having totaled 1,062 of the team’s rushing yards. The Wolf Pack have employed three quarterbacks this season but the team rolled with former Bruin Luke Duncan last week, who threw for two touchdowns and 178 yards in the win.
Duncan started for UCLA last year, facing No. 1 Ohio State on the road while Nico Iamaleava was sidelined with an injury. Duncan will get a chance to show his former team what they’re missing. It’s a compelling battle with Duncan set to face another UCLA backup quarterback, Ty Dieffenbach on Saturday.
