John Berriman and Fionn McCabe return to the side having not featured in the loss to Ireland.

"Gareth has been working hard and we're delighted to give him his opportunity to make his Wales debut," Wales head coach Alan Caron said.

"It's always a special moment when a player represents their country for the first time, and I'm sure he'll be very proud."

Victory for Wales would see them finish third in Group A - above the USA - with their campaign concluding with next week's consolation finals in Wollongong.

"There's still plenty to play for against USA," Caron added.

We want to finish the group stages with a good performance, build some confidence and take that into next week."

Wales: Fionn McCabe, Lee Sargent, Andrew Higgins, Jonathan Gill, Stuart Williams (capt), Gareth Ramsey, Matthew Turner, John Berriman.

Reserves:

Sid Ramsey, Martin Turner.
