Eagles met with First-team All-Big 12 tight end at NFL Combine

· Yahoo Sports

With each passing day, we're more convinced that the Philadelphia Eagles will use some draft capital on a tight end. Now, that doesn't mean that Dallas Goedert is out of here by any means, but if we were to guess, that doesn't speak to the job security of Grant Calcaterra or Kylen Granson.

Howie Roseman and company are doing their due diligence at the 2026 NFL Combine. They've met with several A-1 tight ends, including Oscar Delp (Georgia Bulldogs) and Dae'Quan Wright (Ole Miss Rebels).

We can now add Tanner Koziol's name to the list. He's a 2025 First-Team All-Big 12 nod from the Houston Cougars. He mentioned Philadelphia as one of the teams he met with from the podium.

Here's the part that shouldn't be ignored. When the Philadelphia Eagles start stacking meetings at one position group, history tells us it's rarely accidental. That's a pattern.

We've learned of several legitimate prospects. Several conversations. One position. You don't spend that kind of time working on one area of the offense unless you're preparing for multiple scenarios, insurance, succession planning, schematic evolution, or all of the above.
