Eagles met with the SEC's Jacobs Blocking Trophy winner at NFL Combine

Let's pretend for a second that you had minimal knowledge of the Philadelphia Eagles' roster needs. Let's say you had no previous knowledge of Kadyn Proctor. If that were the case, even if you saw the young man walk into a room, you'd probably say something like the following.

The Eagles could certainly use that guy on the offensive line.

There are several reasons for that. One, he stands at six-foot-seven. Second, he tips the scales at a massive 360 pounds. He, in short, looks like what you'd expect an NFL lineman to look like.

Fortunately, for him and his financial future, the former Alabama Crimson Tide standout also plays like an NFL O-lineman.

The Eagles host Kadyn Proctor at the NFL Combine.

The 'big uglies' have taken center stage at the NFL Combine, and Proctor is one of the stars of the show. Some view him as the draft's best prospect at offensive tackle. Others give the nod to Utah Utes star Spencer Fano.

You can't go wrong with either guy. The Eagles have reportedly met with Proctor in Indianapolis. He's a 2025 First-Team All-SEC member. He earned the SEC Jacobs Blocking Trophy. He was also named a Consensus All-American after a phenomenal final season in the NCAA.

There are only two questions. First, there's no way he's going to be available for the Eagles unless they trade up, right? Second, with his size and physique, would it make more sense to move him from tackle to guard?

Imagine this guy taking over at right guard (sorry, Tyler Steen). Can you imagine slotting him between Lane Johnson and Cam Jurgens?

That's enough to make the mouth water. Having an O-line with that level of talent and a healthy Jordan Mailata and Landon Dickerson on the other side would mean the excuses are already over for new Eagles O-line coach Chris Kuper. He would have to be successful immediately.
