ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter has revealed details of a potential trade between the Chicago Bears and the Buffalo Bills.

Adam Schefter has reported that the Chicago Bears are working to finalize a trade that would send WR D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills. Although labeled a blockbuster trade, in return, it looks like the Bears may only receive a mid- to late-round NFL Draft pick for Moore.

The new NFL league year will begin on March 11th, so any details cannot be hashed out between the two teams until then.

By departing with Moore, the Bears will be saving around $16.5 million in cap space, but they will take a cap hit of $12 million in the process. After coming over from the Carolina Panthers, Moore was a viable option with Chicago, totaling 244 catches, 3,012 receiving yards, and 20 touchdowns.

The Bears and quarterback Caleb Williams will still have plenty of options catching the football, as they still have Coleston Loveland at tight end, and Rome Odunze and Luther Burden at wide receiver.

This move will benefit the Bears, as they will now have available draft capital to continue building around their franchise QB if the move is made.
