The Boston Celtics throttled the Dallas Mavericks 120-100 on Friday night, and all eyes were on Jayson Tatum as he made his season debut for the team. However, as has usually been the case this season, it was Jaylen Brown leading the way for Boston with another efficient scoring performance.

In Tatum's absence, Brown has put together an MVP-caliber season for the C's (28.8 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 5.1 APG, 48.1 FG%). Recently, he declared himself the best two-way player in the NBA, but after beating the Mavs, he took a second to amend that claim, as he gave some unique praise to San Antonio Spurs' superstar center Victor Wembanyama.

“That boy Wemby is a problem, a big problem," Brown said during his most recent Twitch stream. "When I say I’m the best two-way player in the league, it’s not counting Wemby. Wemby don't count. He’s not even human. I’m the best human player.”

A 7'4 center, Wembanyama is one of the most dangerous players in the NBA. Not only is he tall, but he is also agile enough to play like a point forward at times. As a result, Wembanyama can do just about everything you'd want from a basketball player, while being tall enough to play in the paint on both ends of the floor.

Simply put, Brown can't make the sort of mind-boggling blocks that Wembanyama is capable of, but when it comes to players who aren't built like him, he believes he's still the best of the best in the two-way player department. Brown will look to further prove his case when the Celtics square off against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon.
