Manchester City locked horns with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie. The Mancunian giants made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 20th minute when Federico Valverde found the back of the net. Valverde scored again just seven minutes later before completing his hat-trick in the 42nd minute. Pep Guardiola’s men went into the half-time interval 3-0 down on the scoreline.
The Premier League giants failed to mount a comeback in the second half and crashed to a lackluster 3-0 loss at the Bernabeu.

O’Reilly struggled to impress in the first half and was fortunate to last the whole game.
