The choice of words (and for that matter, timing) of a recent streaming session by Boston Celtics star forward Jaylen Brown hours after his team was eliminated by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs first round raised eyebrows. Then, soon after, Brown's friend and mentor Tracy McGrady talking about the Georgia native being unhappy with the Celtics on an unnamed issue sparked a near-panic among friends.

But the Cal alum has since streamed again to clarify what he meant by his postgame words, and Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens addressing those comments with assurances he is not aware of any strife have largely put those concerns to bed.
