Madrid have confirmed that Fede Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni have both been fined for an alleged altercation at the club this week that left the midfielder needing hospital treatment.

Former Madrid star Iker Casillas was at an event earlier where he was asked about the situation at the club and he shared some of his comments on social media afterwards.

Casillas posted on X: “They asked me at a@LaLiga event with @MovistarPlus what my coach would be for @realmadrid: Xabi Alonso.”

Pique quickly responded: “And who do you think won the fight?”

The clash between the two players comes after a week where Kylian Mbappe has also been in the spotlight after heading to Italy with his partner while out injured.

A social media campaign was then started which saw fans call for the French striker to leave the club, with the petition having hit 40 million signatures.

Madrid and Barca are currently preparing for Sunday’s Clasico at Camp Nou. Barca need just a point to be crowned champions.
