24 Hours of Nurburgring weekend tickets sell out for first time ahead of Max Verstappen debut

The 24 Hours of Nurburgring has reached a historic milestone ahead of the 2026 event as weekend tickets have sold out for the first time, and only limited single-day tickets remain.
The boost in spectator interest has come as four-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen looks to make his 24-hour debut at the legendary Nordschleife this week.

The Dutchman will be racing in the Verstappen Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo with team-mates Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella.
“The Nurburgring Nordschleife is a special place,” Verstappen said when he announced his entry. “There’s no other track like it. The 24h Nurburgring is a race that’s been on my bucket list for a long time, so I’m really thrilled we can make it happen now.
“Last year, I was able to get my DMSB Permit Nordschleife and participate in NLS9, that we won. That preparation is very valuable, as we have learned a lot that we can take into our programme this year with NLS2 and the 24-hour race.”

Verstappen made his endurance racing debut at the NLS9 event in September 2025. Racing with his team-mate Chris Lulham in a Ferrari 296 GT3 run by Emil Frey Racing, the duo secured the victory. Continuing his preparations for the Nurburgring 24 Hours in 2026, he secured another victory from pole position at NLS2 in his own Verstappen Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, although the team was subsequently disqualified for a tyre allocation infringement.
The official Nurburgring X account has warned ticket-holding spectators to arrive as early as possible for the event, with the circuit bracing for the crowds. It has also confirmed that those who were planning to purchase a ticket on-site will not be able to do so.
