Jones ranks as the No. 197 overall player, No. 17 safety, and No. 8 player in the state of Pennsylvania for the 2027 cycle according to Rivals’ rankings, who list him as a four-star recruit. He holds offers from Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, UNC, Louisville, and Virginia Tech, among others.
His uncle, Mark, was a prominent part of the 2003 Tennessee team that went 10-2 in the regular season in 2003. He had 36 catches for 556 yards with five touchdowns that year. He also returned 20 punts for 303 yards and a touchdown. His best game came in a 41-14 loss to Georgia, where he turned four catches into 117 yards and a score.
Tennessee has been trending lately as the team to beat for Jones’ commitment. We’ll find out soon enough if the Jones’ name will continue in Knoxville in 2027 and beyond.
