The Palm Beach Lakes receiver, who finished last year as the Rams' leading pass-catcher, made his collegiate intentions clear on Friday by committing to Colorado football.

Ferdinand will join a program that has promised early playing time as head coach Deion Sanders' team fights to overcome last year's 3-9 record.

"It was just a culture," Ferdinand said of his commitment to Colorado, despite options like Tulane and Cincinnati also available. "They treated me like a priority, like they need me. Playing for 'Prime Time' is a dream come true, but it's still a business."

"Out of everybody, [Sanders] told me he takes care of Florida kids kids the most ― that's what he told me. They told me they need me to start now."

Ferdinand finished the 2025 football season with 755 yards receiving and seven touchdowns on 57 catches, pacing the Rams in all receiving categories as a junior.

In addition to preparing for his senior year with new quarterback Jordan Johnson and fellow Division I commit Turmarian Moreland Jr. (Virginia Tech), Ferdinand has had a busy summer, taking visits to Pittsburgh, Colorado, Tulane, NC State, and Cincinnati prior to making his decision.

With his commitment in the rearview mirror, Ferdinand will look toward continuing to impress in his senior year with Lakes, and the star receiver is eyeing a big season ahead.dropbox

"This season is going to be a move, I'll tell you that for sure. This team is a lot better than last year, so I'm looking forward to us going very far."
