NBA champion Josh Hart was among the millions of fans around the world who watched the USA-Belgium Round of 16 match on Monday. It was a highly-anticipated game, especially with the controversy surrounding Folarin Balogun heading into the matchup.
The Americans’ chances were boosted as FIFA suspended the striker’s red card and was deemed good to go. However, his availability wasn’t enough as Team USA lost 4-1.

Hart posted a hilarious reaction following the defeat on X. The New York Knicks swingman made his pick clear between two breakfast staples.
“Pancakes > Belgian Waffles,” Hart wrote.
Charles De Ketelaere gave the Belgians the lead in the ninth minute before Mark Tillman equalized in the 31st minute. It was all downhill for Team USA from then on, as De Ketelaere reclaimed the lead for Belgium after just two minutes. Hans Vanaken and Romelu Lukaku rounded out the scoring for a dominate victory.
