Browns partake in first padded practice without numerous key players

The Cleveland Browns partook in their first padded practice of training camp, but it was not without some key absences from their 90-man roster.
The most notable absence is reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and linebacker Carson Schwesinger. The Browns declined to give the full scope of his injury, but head coach Todd Monken did not make it sound like it was going to keep the Cleveland standout defensive leader out long.

He was joined by the following defensive players: defensive tackle Maliek Collins (still on PUP), defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., and defensive tackle Kalia Davis.

Offensively, the Browns were also light in the trenches. Interior offensive linemen Teven Jenkins (who is competing for a starting job at right guard) and backup center Kendrick Green were joined by tight end Joe Royer and wide receiver Jamari Thrash on the sidelines.
There are quite a few key players listed here, namely Schwesinger, Hall Jr., and Collins. Let's hope the Browns can get these players back on the field soon as they prepare for their first preseason game next week.
